MEET THE FOUNDER
Domenique Smith is an award winning playwright, entrepreneur, and investor born and raised in Dallas, Texas. His determination and list of accomplishments are completely defiant to his humble beginnings. He is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Banking, and Financial Institutions. At the age of 23, Domenique embarked upon the journey of entrepreneurship due to the lack of opportunity for actors of color in the theater program.
Domenique began producing his own stage productions and films allowing him to cross paths with some notable Hollywood talent such as Jamal Woolard (Notorious BIG), Pooch Hall (The Game), Terri J. Vaughn (The Steve Harvey Show), Columbus Short (Scandal & Stomp The Yard), and many more.
To date, "Free My Dream" has produced over a dozen stage productions and films captivating audiences all over the country earning Domenique several recognition awards such as Hill Harper: Young, Black, & Gifted and Dallas Native Most Creative Filmmaker.
Recently, Domenique was invited to attend his alma mater every semester sharing his knowledge, experiences, and important life lessons to those current students majoring in entrepreneurship. Lastly, year 2018 Domenique made the tough decision to take a step back from producing stage productions and films to focus on expanding his entrepreneurial portfolio by investing in real estate and a men's salon. Domenique's mission is to teach others all what he know from the beautiful wins to the ugly lessons but most importantly portray the image of a survivor who weathered the odds stacked against him.
